We are proud to be recruiting for our client who is an SME based in Leicester, that is looking for further support to help their growing team. This opportunity would be excellent for someone looking to make their first move into Procurement or looking to add further experience.

Based in North Leicester, the role would be joining a team that is going through a good period of growth and looking to gain wider exposure. You would be involved in supporting the wider procurement team, raising and expediting PO's, communicating with internal and external stakeholders and administrative tasks on an ad-hoc basis.

The ideal candidate would have good administrative experience, being IT literate across Microsoft Office and experience with any ERP system being advantageous. Purchasing and inventory knowledge is desirable in this role due to the team you would be supporting and the products dealing with. You would also be a strong team player and come with a growth mindset, where you are open and eager to learn and develop!

We are looking to pay between £23,000-£26,000 per annum with 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Raising and Expediting purchase orders to meet the demands of the business.
  • Communicating with suppliers over the phone and email regarding delivery dates, orders and returns.
  • Resolving invoice queries and obtaining invoices.
  • Cover for other procurement staff during holidays.
  • ERP administrative tasks - including setting up of new products, setting commodity codes and populating data on products.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong administrative experience
  • Purchasing or inventory experience desirable
  • Strong oral and written communication
  • IT Literate across Microsoft Office and ERP systems ideally
  • Organised
  • Eager to learn and develop
