Job Title: Assistant Procurement Manager (Senior Buyer)

Position overview:
Macildowie are proud to be working alongside a well establish household brand within the machinery manufacturing industry. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a skilled and eager Buyer. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in procurement team leadership. A successful candidate will play a crucial part in the continued success of the tactile buying team

What you'll be doing:
- Collaborating with and supporting a team of 6 buyers.
- Acting as a second in command to the purchasing manager.
- Lead on a multitude of project based procurement strategies.
- Act as point of contact for any escalation queries.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, pricing, and product availability.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
- Analyse and optimise procurement processes to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of relevant regulations and compliance requirements within the electrical procurement domain.

What you'll bring to the table:
- Proven and demonstrable experience within a procurement function or Purchasing.
- Proven experience managing a procurement team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Unmatched analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- A dynamic and go-getter personality
- Proficiency in procurement software (Ideally SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
