Job Description

We are looking to recruit a Procurement Coordinator for our client who is a leading name within building materials across the UK. This role would support the wider team as they look to continue growing, and you would be joining a strong and supportive team!

Based in Northampton, this role would be playing a vital role in supporting the procurement team issuing raw materials, pre-qualifying suppliers and raising and managing PO's while growing your own procurement experience. This position provides a variety of tasks and you would need to be comfortable dealing with a variety of stakeholders.

Your experience would have strong administrative experience, a high attention to detail and a strong drive to grow. As part of your support, this role can support you in your CIPS qualification too!

Responsibilities:

  • Administrate the onboarding, assessment of supplier accounts.
  • Maintain the approval and compliance rating of the supplier base at greater than 95%.
  • Support the continuous improvement and development of the procurement systems, procedural processes, and policies.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate raising and issue of supplier raw material annual call off orders.
  • Manage purchase order approval routes in line with company policy.
  • Ensure that required master data information is processed accurately, and in accordance with SLA's.
  • Support a variety of business initiatives interrogating and cleansing data as directed.
  • Keep accurate records of data activity to support auditing and trace-ability requirements.
  • Perform necessary housekeeping activities to ensure integrity and consistency of data held in business systems.
  • Generate accurate supplier spend and volume reports as requested by the procurement team and wider business.

  • Positive mindset
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Experience with MRP and Supplier management systems (Highly advantageous)
  • 1-2 years+ Procurement experience (Highly advantageous)
