We are proud to be recruiting for a new Production Planner role for our client who is a well-known name within Food Manufacturing. This position comes after a great period of growth and are looking for some extra firepower in the team.

Based in Milton Keynes, the role would be responsible for achieving efficient production plans in with line established KPIs, while ensuring production is made in correct rotation and that customers are supplied on-time and in full. You will be responsible for core activities and the plans to help avoid production challenges.

The ideal individual will be looking for an exciting new challenge, with a strong background in Planning or scheduling, ideally from a food/production background, so has a good understanding of the nuances the industry brings.

The role would be onsite 5 days a week, with hours 7am-4pm, but some flexibility around this depending on what suits you.

The salary is expected to be between £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create daily plans to achieve SLA's, including daily and weekly tasks to be undertaken, and resolving issues as they arise
• Amend plans to account for production challenges and shortages of raw materials and packaging. Excellent communication needs to be maintained with the departments to achieve this.
• Work with the Engineering team to plan in machine servicing and downtime in plans.
• Monitor and set stock levels and use good rotation stock practices
• Generate production requirements efficiently utilising available resources.
• Liaise with relevant stakeholders to keep processes running smoothly
• Adapt to changes in products, new products and requirements within plans.
• Provide holiday cover as and when required within the Planning Department.
• Any other task as reasonably requested by their line manager.

Ideal Candidate:

• Production Planning background, ideally within Food/Food Manufacturing or similar
• Good oral and written communication
• Strong numerical and literacy skills
• Ability to spot and solve issues and look for areas of continuous improvement
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills, including V-Lookups, Pivot Tables etc
• Organised and punctual
