Job Description
Job Title: Demand Planner
Location: Nottingham
Role Overview:
Macildowie are proud to be working with an esteemed partner within the pet industry to recruit a Demand Planner, your pivotal role ensures streamlined stock flow and optimal inventory management. Reporting to the Demand & Inventory Manager, you will execute the SAP MRP process, manage supplier forecasts, and oversee delivery schedules for assigned categories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage order delivery schedules for seamless stock flow.
- Generate and control MRP data for stock requirements at Supplier, Category, and SKU levels.
- Resolve shortages on POs with suppliers, agreeing on corrective actions and expected due dates.
- Collaborate with Operations to enhance product throughput and propose solutions for demand and forecast accuracy.
- Book purchase orders, manage inbound stock, and ensure system accuracy on stock due dates.
- Run SAP MRP Process and maintain Supplier Forecasts.
- Maintain stock cover within tolerances for different lead time SKUs.
- Translate MRP requirements into orders, raise POs with suppliers, and manage supplier delivery bookings.
- Provide input into Product Lifecycle management for ongoing and seasonal lines.
- Drive excellence in MRP and stock replenishment systems, with beneficial SAP experience.
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
Competency and Behaviours:
- Detail Orientated
- Proven experience in a similar demand planning role/function
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
- Experience with MRP and stock replenishment systems, SAP experience beneficial
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Suite with advanced excel skills essential
- Highly numerate, comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
- Professional and committed to high standards
- Exhibit excellent internal and external customer service
Pay and Benefits:
- Hybrid role: 3 days office, 2 days at home (after probation)
- Annual salary between £30,000.00 - £40,000.00.
