We are proud to be looking to recruit and interim Logistics Planner for our client who is a family-ran business based near Loughborough. The role would be joining a small team to cover Maternity Leave initially, but with a good potential to join permanently. The initial term is expected to last until March 2025, so you have a good 18 months to make a strong and lasting impression too!

Based near Loughborough, our client is 1 of 4 sites around the UK, and provides materials to a variety of customers. The role can be moulded around the individual, but we are ideally looking for someone with a proficiency for Purchasing, Transport and Logistics, with the biggest factor is someone able and willing to learn.

In the future, the opportunities are strong too, so this would be great for someone returning to work, or looking for a slight change in role and would allow you to flourish!

Responsibilities:

• Communication with internal/external stakeholders to ensure adequate supply of materials
• Raise and place PO's
• Maintain service level for all site transferred products, ensuring minimum cost and time exerted
• Maintain inventory parts, setting up new products with the relevant information added to the system
• Be point of contact for queries and issues relating to logistics and planning
• Ensure vehicle load utilisation remains over 90%, looking for ways to improve this and other processes throughout
• Keep 50% of inter-site transferred product is available

Ideal Candidate:

• Strong ability to learn
• Experience within purchasing/transport planning/logistics
• Manufacturing experience desirable but not essential
• Strong rapport building skills
• Strong oral and written communication
• Good knowledge of UK Geography advantageous
• IT Proficient
