We are happy to be recruiting for a Senior Inventory Planner to join our client at a time where they are growing and are looking to continue this postiive momentum. The role would come after a slight change in structure and would offer an excellent opportunity for someone to join and gain valuable experience and add lots of value!

Based in Leicester, the role would be looking for someone comfortable with purchasing stock but also being able to manage the inventory and deal with forecasting responsibilities too. You would have 3 direct reports so experience of management in a similar position would be advantageous too.

The role, working on a hybrid basis, would be in a fast-paced environment, so you would need to be comfortable with this aspect and experience here would be advantageous.

We would be looking to offer £30,000-£35,000 depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Forecasting and stock management of entire product range
• Set up and maintain policies regarding to stock management
• Manage, mentor and motivate the Inventory management Team
• Expediting orders with suppliers and communicating changes to internal departments
• Review slow moving/excess/obsolete stock and identify products for clearance
• Placing purchase orders with suppliers
• Ensure PO dates are accurate on the Sage X3 system
• Manage container deliveries in line with warehouse capacity

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience from purchasing and inventory background
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Management of people and a team
• IT Proficient - Microsoft Office, Inventory Optimisation Software, Sage X3
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Organised
• Analytical by nature
