Warehouse Operative

Location: Tamworth

Salary: Above Market Average Salary + On-call fee

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week. Full time, permanent role

Overview:

A highly successful and very well established IT Managed Services Company are currently looking to appoint a reliable and organised Warehouse Operative to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.

The main purpose of the role is to work alongside the with the team and have the responsibility of receiving, storing and shipping IT specific merchandise kept in the warehouse and workshop.

Responsibilities:

  • Booking in and out of all parts to team members.
  • Ensuring that all parts are labelled and entered onto the computerised system.
  • Assist with maintaining a minimum stock level as required.
  • Weekly communication with network and field engineers.
  • Assist with the maintenance of quality standards in line with audit requirements.
  • Assist with ensuring the warehouse and surrounding areas are in an orderly and clean state (including cutting the lawns to the front of the building).
  • Assist with liaising with courier companies and preparing goods for shipment.
  • Assist with the delivery and collection of parts to/from customers using the company vehicle.

There is strong progression opportunities within this role and the opportunity to help with configuration, building and installation of IT specific equipment.

About you:

  • Experience within a warehouse environment
  • Experience with moving stock in and out of inventory.
  • Experience with filing and tracking of delivery and dispatch paperwork
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
  • Organised and methodical in approach
  • Strong time management and work output skills
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • An interest in IT would be ideal but not essential

  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week
