Indirect Buyer

Position: Permanent, hybrid working
Location: Burton, office attendance (minimum 2 days per week)
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Role Overview:
An exciting opportunity has emerged with our Burton based partner for an Indirect Buyer to join their dynamic Procurement team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Indirect Procurement Category Manager to cultivate lasting relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Your primary focus will be to optimise the procurement of Indirect products and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and meticulous contract execution.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and trends in Indirect procurement.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve favourable terms and conditions.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide procurement support and guidance.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in Indirect procurement to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring timely and accurate processing of purchase orders and invoices.
- Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation to streamline procurement operations.

Key Skills Required:
- Proven track record as an Indirect Buyer.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering supplier solutions and managing contracts.
- Degree-level education in Business or a related field.
- Familiarity with Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and managing Indirect categories.
- Previous purchasing experience in Technology, HR, or Logistics categories is advantageous.
- Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of the Purchasing Lifecycle.
