Interim Procurement Manager
Contract Duration: 4 Months
Working Hours: 9 AM - 5 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Work Arrangement: 1-2 days in the office, remainder from home
Location: Leicestershire
Day Rate: Negotiable
Role Overview:
We are currently working with a fantastic client who has doubled in growth recently and is seeking an experienced Interim Procurement Manager for a 4-month contract.
This role involves managing and optimising procurement processes, particularly with a focus on technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Request for Pricing (RFP) processes, including collation, review, and feedback.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and vendors.
- Conduct supplier management activities, including ISO audits and contract renewals.
- Oversee supplier on-boarding processes and improve their robustness.
- Handle procurement of technology-related items such as software packages, licences, hardware.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
- Collaborate with finance to monitor and ensure budgeted project spending.
- Research and evaluate new suppliers to align with company needs and values.
- Review performance of existing suppliers to ensure continued compliance and performance.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Extensive experience in procurement processes (RFI, RFP, contract drafting, negotiation, and supplier management).
- Proven experience in identifying, reporting, and mitigating third-party risks.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
