Junior Buyer - Up to £28,000 Per Annum - Long Eaton
Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm
Macildowie Procurement have a great opportunity available for somebody looking to progress their career in procurement operating as a Junior Buyer.
The key objective is to work closely with the Category Manager, supporting them with stock forecasting, negotiating with suppliers and building relationships with internal stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure stock availability aligns with the production schedule.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop new supplier relationships.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers, whilst monitoring supplier performance.
- Manage and conduct tendering processes.
- Prepare and maintain stock reports.
- Raise routine purchase orders for production stock and ad hoc requirements, focusing on best quality, price, and delivery.
- Monitor and expedite order deliveries, reporting any supplier delivery issues.
- Maintain and optimise the purchasing relationship with suppliers, ensuring materials meet specified cost, quality, and delivery targets.
The Candidate
- Degree level qualification or equivalent.
- Able to travel to Long Eaton.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficient Microsoft Office user including Excel.
