Macildowie are working with this client based in Northampton
We are seeking a Warehouse Operative to join a team within the consumer goods / premium brand logistics and fulfilment industry on a permanent basis. The role offers a salary of £ 21,500 (dependent on experience) and 30 hours a week
Role purpose
You will be responsible for the full life cycle of order fulfilment: new orders (pick, pack, scan, dispatch), returns (unpack, audit) and stock management. You will join the Warehouse team and support the Delivery teams when required, ensuring daily tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard of care and service.
Key responsibilities
Take pride in your allocated division; demonstrate good attention to detail, initiative and resourcefulness to resolve challenges and create solutions.
Accurately pick, pack and scan goods using warehouse management software systems.
Use systems (e.g., JDE) and third-party postage/delivery solutions to process orders and generate dispatch labels.
Pack boxes/bags safely for delivery, manage stock locations and regularly audit stock.
Receive inbound and return orders, restock accordingly and fully comply with stock management systems and processes for consistency and efficiency.
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and order within the warehouse environment and your division.
Respond to order queries via email or phone from internal customers.
Work in a tidy, methodical and safe manner, supporting the Delivery and Installation teams with load-out or deliveries when required.
Assist the Warehouse Manager with ad hoc tasks and act as a reliable team-player across both Warehouse and Delivery Teams.
Act as a Brand Ambassador: develop effective relationships that add value to both internal and external customers; build trust, act consistently and uphold the brand values in all interactions.
Health & Safety: actively promote a culture of health and safety; take all practical steps to ensure your own safety and that of others; follow safety instructions, proactively report hazards/incidents, and collaborate to continuously improve and develop safe working practices.
Skills & attributes
Previous experience in a warehouse pick & pack role is essential.
Good level of computer literacy; competent in Microsoft Office 365 tools including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Good physical fitness and capable of manual handling.
Strong understanding of warehouse H&S practices; IOSH or equivalent certification is highly beneficial.
Experience in the appliance or consumer electronics industry is highly desirable.
Experience working within a "premium brand" culture or environment is a plus.
A positive, progressive attitude and flexible approach to change are required.
Strong desire for self-development and willingness to learn new skills.
Forklift licence would be beneficial but not essential.
