Macildowie are working with this client based in Northampton within the commercial vehicle parts industry to recruit a Parts Sales Advisor.

Salary: Competitive
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: Office-based
Hours: 44 hours per week (Monday to Friday) plus Saturday morning rota

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and growing business operating within an essential supply sector. The organisation plays a key role in keeping fleets operational across the region, supplying high-quality truck and trailer parts with a strong focus on service, expertise and long-term customer relationships.
The successful candidate will be part of a fast-paced branch environment where teamwork, commercial awareness and customer service excellence are central to success.

Key Responsibilities:

Professionally handling inbound calls with a view to promoting and securing part sales

Liaising with suppliers to source parts at competitive prices while maintaining stock levels

Supporting the Branch Manager to achieve sales, margin and contribution targets

Meeting and exceeding agreed KPIs and service level agreements

Managing stock cleanses and internal transfers efficiently

Building and maintaining strong relationships with local and national customers

Identifying opportunities to expand the customer base and grow sales

Handling cash and payment systems in line with company procedures

Promoting over-the-counter and delivery sales targets

Assessing local market conditions and identifying new opportunities

Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures

Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the branch

Working closely with van drivers to ensure timely deliveries

Key Skills & Experience:

Proven knowledge of commercial truck and trailer parts

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

Confident telephone manner

IT literate (Microsoft Office)

Excellent customer service skills

Working knowledge of health and safety

Structured and supportive team environment
