Macildowie Procurement has exclusively partnered with a manufacturing business based in Leicester to recruit an In Direct Procurement Manager, leading on our clients IT, Marketing and Professional Services categories.

The key objective is to deliver, record, and report on cost savings and mitigated risk to meet the requirements of the business and deliver against value targets.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop, draft, and deliver RFx's, Benchmarking, and formal Supplier Relationship/performance management.
• Support the creation and delivery of Procurement strategies and targets, that aligns with the overall business.
• Identification, implementation and reporting of cost-saving and waste-reduction opportunities, including managing demand to identify cost actions.
• Build productive and beneficial relationships with suppliers to identify opportunities and innovations.
• Ensure that the projects are meeting the timelines and targets agreed with the business
• Conduct regular supplier reviews and supplier visits to assess compliance, quality, and ethical standards.
• Staying ahead of the curve with market trends and price fluctuations.
• Champion continuous improvement and change management, supporting and driving the overall procurement transformation journey to shape a best-in-class procurement function.
• Lead on an embedding governance project across the In Direct Procurement spaces in the EMEA regions.
• Oversee a diverse range of strategic procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, contract management, negotiation and tender management, whilst considering ESG factors.
• Category management of IT, Marketing & Professional Services.

The Candidate

• Previous experience operating in a senior In Direct procurement position.
• Able to travel to either Leicester or London 3 days a week.
• Comfortable user of Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Effective communicator and comfortable liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
