As the Policy and Performance Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the organisation, ensuring that they consistently meet their objectives and deliver the highest level of service. Your Responsibilities: As the Policy and Performance Team Leader, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective arrangements for various activities relating to business planning, performance reporting, project management, and policy monitoring. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation, setting the benchmark for excellence.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and maintain the Business Planning and Performance Management Framework, ensuring that it aligns with the organisation's strategic objectives and reflects the community's needs and aspirations.
  • Manage the Policy and Performance function, overseeing its work program, and building strong internal relationships to embed a performance-driven culture throughout the organisation.
  • Coordinate the implementation of a Project Management Framework, driving improvements in the approach to project delivery across all departments.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Policy and Performance Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and accurate information.
  • Advise internal and external stakeholders on the organisations performance, keeping them informed of progress and aligning efforts with national changes in policy.
  • Offer support and guidance in gathering intelligence from various stakeholders through surveys and consultations, ensuring compliance with statutory duties.
  • Consistently apply the organisation's Performance Management System (InPhase) by thoroughly analysing the inputted data/information and generating regular reports.
  • Coordinate the input of data and information, monitor and analyse the progress of key performance indicators, projects and programmes, while delivering monthly reports to Senior Officers.
  • Implementing a wide range of key performance indicators when necessary to ensure the organisation's aims are being met in line with the business plan.
  • Presenting data and information relating to the success of the organisations business plan regularly.

Your Skills and Experience:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A proven track record of managing and delivering successful policy and performance initiatives within a public sector organisation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of business planning, performance management, project management, and policy development.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, enabling you to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • A passion for driving continuous improvement, ensuring that our services are always evolving to meet the needs of our community effectively.
