Job Description

Macildowie are delighted to be supporting North Kesteven District Council to appoint a Corporate Finance Manager to oversee their financial, technical and corporate reporting function.

Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, you will provide strategic, commercial and financial support to the Directors and Directorate/Service Managers across the authority.

You will lead a motivated and capable team in the preparation and submission of the year-end statement of accounts and closure; providing technical support and guidance, ensuring that key deadlines are achieved; monitoring and managing multiple budgets; ensuring all statutory requirements are met.

You will be expected to provide innovative solutions to help the authority achieve it's goals through sounds financial management and the provision of value-add insight and analysis.

The successful applicant will be a confident and engaging finance professional with strong technical financial experience either within the public sector or industry; you will either be working at the same level presently or be seeking the next step on your career within a forward-thinking authority with a great team ethic and support structure. As such applications form both fully qualified and part-qualified candidates would be welcome.

Due to the current working policy, you will only be required to be on site 1-2 days per week and the successful applicant will be rewarded with an attractive salary and benefits package. There is also the opportunity to take advantage of a generous relocation package should you be wishing to move into the Sleaford and surrounding areas which offers much natural beauty and not too far from the coast!
