Service Delivery Director

Macildowie Executive Search are delighted to be the Search partner for a highly respected vehicle servicing business who seek a Service Delivery Director to help position the business for future growth. The business is negotiating an exciting phase of post-acquisition growth and is in need of a senior executive who can harmonise operations to deliver against the plans to delight customers, optimise site-safety and engage the teams in streamlining operations. It's these three levers the successful candidate will need to pull to deliver against the growth plan.

• Sector experience needed: The successful candidate will be from a business which in some way services/maintains heavy commercial vehicles.

• Technical experience needed: A background in running multi-site depot-type operations is essential. It needs to be an operational environment where the candidate can evidence the successful adoption of health and safety protocols. The role demands an engaging coach and mentor to functional managers - an ability to evidence this leadership style is critical. Owning a operational P&L of <£50m would also be preferred as this will evidence the scale and complexity needed to thrive in this role. Margin management: driving depot-level performance - improving productivity and margin extraction. Finally, experience in an acquisitive/M&A environment would be preferred too - an ability to evidence creating something greater than the sum of the parts would be a compelling narrative for this role.

• Behavioural traits: The successful candidate would need to gravitate towards leadership teams characterised as low-ego, customer and employee-centric, laser-focussed on-site safety, operationally and commercially astute and finally, engaging as a leader and peer.
