Area Account Manager

Salary: Above Market Average + Bonus

Based: London Area

Hours: Monday - Friday; 09:00-17:30

Overview:

This Area Account Manager role is working for a fast growing, global luxury appliance company, where you will report into the Sales Director and have an amazing portfolio of work ready to work.

The role allows the successful candidate to develop and grow the brand and products across Kitchen Retail accounts through strategic sales planning, dedicated account management and being a brand ambassador.

This is a role working for a global brand, but with a local company feel - incredible, renowned products, but small UK operation where you really matter and where there are lots of opportunities to grow and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and execution of strategy for Kitchen Retail accounts
  • Develop a strategic Area Sales Plan
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Deeply understand customer account businesses and environmental influences.
  • Able to take decisions based on a market-wide, holistic view and understand how this might affect the whole business
  • Manage and grow existing account relationships to leverage growth opportunities
  • Identify and actively pursue new customer opportunities
  • Develop effective relationships that add value to internal and external customers
  • Act as a brand ambassador in all interactions with customers ensuring relationships are built on mutual trust
  • Attend monthly events

About you:

  • Previous account management experience is essential
  • Prior Appliance or 'luxury' experience within a sales role and a passion for the industry 
  • Able to show a positive and progressive attitude and a flexible approach to change
  • Have a strong desire for self-development and a willingness to learn new skills
  • A record of accomplishment in successfully increasing sales and margins within an account portfolio 
  • Fantastic communication skills
  • Degree level qualified in either Business Management, Marketing, Design (or equivalent experience) would be an advantage
