£13.33 - £15.00 per hour
Monday to Friday. 08:30 - 17:00
Macildowie are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organisation to recruit a Temporary Assistant Graphic Designer to join their busy Marketing team.
Working closely with the Lead Designer, this role offers hands-on exposure to catalogue design, product image development, and creative marketing support across several European markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Catalogue Design: Use Adobe InDesign to replicate the English catalogue into multiple European languages, linking product data directly from the database.
- Creative Artwork: Produce mock-ups for branded printed items (e.g. entrance mats) and prepare vector files for production. Create ad hoc digital graphics for online channels, including social media and web.
- Image Retouching: Use Photoshop (airbrush, clone, pen tools) to edit and refine product imagery for marketing use and new product launches.
- Collaborative Projects: Support the wider Marketing team by responding to creative briefs, contributing ideas, and maintaining visual consistency across subsidiaries.
Candidate Profile
Essential
- Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Art, Publishing, or a related field.
- Confident user of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of layout and design principles.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- 2-3 years' experience in a similar graphic design or marketing support role.
- Enthusiastic and adaptable, with strong time management and organisational skills.
- Confident in presenting ideas and solving problems creatively.
