Interim International Sales Consultant
Job Description
Interim Sales Manager
Stafford Hybrid
Competitive Day Rate
Macildowie are working with this client based in Stafford to recruit an experienced Interim Sales Manager for a hands-on assignment focused on establishing a brand-new international distribution channel.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute interim professional who thrives on building something from the ground up. Rather than managing an existing network, you'll be responsible for creating, launching and embedding a scalable distributor model that will support future international growth.
Working closely with the Head of Sales, you'll combine strategic thinking with a practical, delivery-focused approach. From identifying target markets and developing the commercial proposition through to securing, onboarding and activating distributor partners, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the next stage of the business's growth journey.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing an international distribution strategy, identifying priority markets and routes to market.
- Designing a commercially viable distributor model, including pricing structures, partner agreements and performance expectations.
- Building a pipeline of prospective distribution partners across international markets.
- Leading outreach, negotiations and the onboarding of new distributor relationships.
- Supporting partners through product training, sales enablement and early-stage business development.
- Establishing CRM processes, forecasting and reporting frameworks to monitor performance.
- Creating a repeatable playbook and structured handover for the long-term management of the distribution channel.
About You
We're looking for an experienced sales or distribution professional who has successfully built or launched international distributor networks.
You'll ideally have:
- A proven track record of developing distributor-led sales channels across multiple international markets.
- Experience creating commercial distribution strategies rather than inheriting established networks.
- Strong business development, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Commercial understanding of pricing, margins, partner incentives and territory management.
- Experience working within technical, industrial, manufacturing, engineering or construction-related environments.
- The ability to operate autonomously whilst maintaining excellent organisation, reporting and pipeline management.
- A willingness to travel internationally as required.
Construction product experience would be advantageous but is by no means essential. Candidates from wider industrial, manufacturing, technical or project-led B2B sectors are encouraged to apply.
If you're an experienced interim leader looking for an opportunity to shape a new international sales channel and leave a lasting commercial legacy, we'd love to hear from you.
