Job Description

Macildowie's Executive Search team seek a Head of Sales for a newly created role at an ambitions and growing technology services business based in Nottingham. To support this SME organisation's ongoing growth from organic to strategic, the new Head of Sales will be responsible for building robustness into the new business sales pipeline which in turn is aimed to fund/fuel the growth of their operational teams.

In short, the new Head of Sales will need to:

  • Have experience selling technology services (hardware or software)
  • Demonstrate successful "consultative" sales as the solutions this business creates are tailored
  • Evidence the ability to develop profitable relationships
  • A love of high volume sales - the transactions in this world can be either fast and contingent or long sales-cycle and strategic - experience of working at pace is essential (and rewarding!)
  • Hiring and building successful hunting sales teams (recent experience please)

So if you have that consultative sales background in the technology sector and are:

  • Looking to join an ambitious (and extremely interesting) business

The caveat to all this of course is that sales results will always be the metric for success in this role. You will need to thrive in a role where you are accountable for this. You and (over time) the team that over time you will build to deliver ongoing, sustainable and profitable sales growth. Bonus will be paid in accordance with growth in profitable sales with the successful candidate probably helping to design the bonus scheme.

In summary, we are looking for a candidate who backs themselves to curate strategic, sustainable revenue growth for our SME technology client. Previous experience of doing this is really what will give our client the confidence to hire.
