The Role:
- As the Software Quality Assurance Team Leader, you'll oversee a skilled team responsible for supporting, testing, and maintaining software applications.
- You'll work closely with developers, business analysts, and senior stakeholders to ensure applications meet high-quality standards, regulatory requirements, and evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Software Applications team to ensure optimal performance, collaboration, and professional development.
- Oversee software quality assurance efforts, ensuring smooth deployments with minimal disruptions.
- Manage support workloads and coordinate responses to technical issues across the software suite.
- Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve complex application issues.
- Maintain and monitor testing environments to ensure reliable development and deployment processes.
- Continuously evaluate software performance, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance user experience.
- Support software projects and drive timely delivery of application updates and releases.
- Act as a key liaison between IT and business units to ensure alignment with organisational goals.
- Maintain strong working relationships with software vendors and manage annual license and support contracts.
- Ensure application architecture and processes meet security and compliance standards.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience leading a software support or quality assurance team.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical discussions.
- Excellent multitasking and project management abilities.
- In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle and QA methodologies.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar leadership role within IT or software support.
- Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, SQL, IIS, Postman API testing, and version control systems.
- Knowledge of mobile testing platforms is a plus
- Background in software testing frameworks and industry best practices.
- Exposure to Microsoft-based infrastructure and application environments.
