EA to CEO
Job Description
Executive Assistant to CEO & HR Director
Location: Binley (Hybrid - minimum 3 days on-site, flexibility for up to 5 days when needed)
We're looking for a proactive, people-focused Executive Assistant who thrives on making things run smoothly and effortlessly for others. This is a role where building relationships, understanding priorities, and staying two steps ahead are essential.
About the Role
In this role, you'll be the right-hand support to our CEO, and the HR Director, ensuring their diaries run like clockwork, their priorities are met, and their time is used effectively. You'll act with the same warmth, honesty, and down-to-earth approach John is known for - always in service of our branch managers, our people, and our customers.
Your ability to anticipate needs, make confident decisions, and filter competing priorities will be key. You'll know instinctively "what the CEO would do," and when needed, you'll tap into the wider leadership team to gather the right information to keep things moving.
Key Responsibilities
Diary & Priority Management - Organise, plan ahead, and create space for what matters most.
Decision-Making - Confidently prioritise tasks and handle competing demands with sound judgement.
Relationship Building - Interact with stakeholders - approachable, people-focused, and genuine.
Problem Anticipation - Spot issues before they arise and take steps to prevent them.
Event Coordination - Support the delivery of key events, managing third-party suppliers and ensuring exceptional quality.
Board Meetings - Host and coordinate our twice-yearly Group Board meetings with precision.
Continuous Improvement - Link agendas, events, and activities to identify smarter, more efficient ways of working.
Attention to Detail - Carefully check every detail to ensure accuracy and excellence in execution.
What We're Looking For
Proven experience supporting senior leaders.
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proactive mindset - you look ahead, plan, and solve problems before they become issues.
Strong communication skills and an ability to build trust at all levels.
Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
A genuine, people-first approach that reflects our company culture.
This is more than just diary management - it's about making life easier for the CEO, ensuring they can focus on leading the business while you handle the detail with care, precision, and foresight
