Administrator Engineering Business
Location: Coventry
Salary: £25000
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Contract: 6 month fixed term contract

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator to join our busy engineering team. This role plays a key part in supporting the sales process from enquiry to delivery, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth internal coordination. You'll work closely with the sales, operations, and engineering teams to process orders, prepare quotes, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries, providing product information and updates on orders.

Prepare and issue quotations, sales orders, and invoices in line with company procedures.

Support the sales team with administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining CRM records.

Liaise with the engineering and production departments to track progress of customer orders and ensure on-time delivery.

Update and maintain customer databases, sales reports, and forecasts.

Process purchase orders and assist with stock or materials tracking where required.

Handle aftersales support, including warranty claims, returns, and general customer queries.

Assist with tender submissions, pricing updates, and documentation for large projects.

Provide general administrative support to the wider office team as needed.

Skills & Experience Required

Previous experience in a sales administration, customer service, or order processing role â€" ideally within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment.

Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Confident communicator, both written and verbal, with a professional telephone manner.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, Sage) is advantageous.

Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.

Team player with a proactive and customer-focused attitude.
