Group Financial Accountant - FTC
- 9 Month FTC

- £65K - £70K
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Group Financial Accountant to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering accurate, timely, and compliant group financial reporting while supporting the continuous improvement of our reporting processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated group financial statements.
- Assist with the group consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
- Ensure financial reporting complies with relevant accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP) and internal accounting policies.
- Review financial submissions from regional entities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and external financial reporting requirements.
- Support the year-end and interim audit processes, including preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor queries.
- Maintain and update group accounting policies, reporting guidance, and financial reporting procedures.
- Analyse financial performance and provide meaningful insights to support business decision-making.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring the integrity of key financial accounts.
- Work collaboratively with finance teams across the organisation to resolve reporting and consolidation issues.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial reporting, consolidation processes, and reporting systems.
- Support the implementation of new accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in strengthening financial controls, governance, and compliance across the Group.
- Produce ad hoc financial reports, analysis, and information requested by senior management.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in group reporting, financial reporting, or a similar accounting role.
- A strong understanding of group consolidations and financial reporting principles.
- Knowledge of IFRS (or equivalent accounting standards such as UK GAAP).
- ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified
- BPC consolidation tool experience
- Excellent analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- OneSource experience
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
