- Managing VAT, excise duties, product levies and customs compliance

- Acting as the main point of contact with HMRC, including enquiries and strategic dealings
- Maintaining the tax risk register and supporting the external audit of tax
- Briefing senior finance leaders on legislative change and leading its implementation
What you'll bring
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified; CTA or ATT would be a bonus
- Broad UK tax experience across both direct and indirect taxes
- Exposure to excise duties, levies or customs is a real advantage
- Confidence dealing with HMRC and explaining tax clearly to non-specialists
- Organised, accurate and comfortable working to statutory deadlines
- Happy to be the tax lead in the business, from detailed compliance through to advice
Industry or practice backgrounds considered, including people ready to make their first move into industry.
What's on offer
- Salary up to £80,000 plus benefits
- Hybrid working
- Full ownership of the tax function and direct access to senior decision-makers
- A stable, international group with a strong UK presence
