Macildowie have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Assistant Accountant to join a close-knit team at a family-owned haulage company in Northampton. Being a small team, the position will be 5 days in the office. For the right candidate, there may be a temp-perm opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in day-to-day financial tasks, including data entry, processing invoices, and reconciling accounts.
• Support in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
• Help maintain financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Desirable background:

• A background in finance or accounting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisation and communication skills.

Experience:
