Job Description

Job Title: Finance Manager (12-Month Contract)

Location: Milton Keynes

Macildowie are partnering with an established construction firm based in Milton Keynes who are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join the team on a 12-month contract. If you thrive in a hands-on environment and have a passion for collaboration, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of 7 finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Financial Planning: Take charge of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to drive company performance and maintain positive cashflow.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to senior management, providing insights for informed decision-making.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is advantageous but QBE will be considered.
  • Proven experience as a Finance Manager, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Solid understanding of risk management and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
