Job Description

We're on the lookout for a Project Accountant with proficiency in Systems to join a growing Finance team in an exciting manufacturing company based in Wellingborough as they continue to upscale. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain new systems and processes to streamline financial reporting, and provide valuable insights to inform strategic decision-making.

For the right candidate, there is a very real possibility of a temp-to-permanent position, but initially it would be a temporary role.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Financial Systems Management: Lead the implementation and optimisation of accounting software & ERP systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimisation and automation within the finance function to improve productivity and reduce manual errors.
  • Financial Reporting: Develop and maintain robust financial reporting structures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders.
  • Project Accounting: Oversee project accounting activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to support project managers in decision-making.
  • Data Analysis: Analyse financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, providing valuable insights to management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, IT, and operations, to ensure alignment of financial systems and processes with business objectives.

What You'll Bring:

  • Relevant Finance Degree / Professional qualifications would be ideal, or QBE.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; implementation experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Energetic, problem solving, "can-do" attitude to tackle a variety of financial challenges.
  • Strong communication abilities to collaborate across teams.
  • The ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
