Credit Controller / North Leicester / Permanent / Hybrid / Up to £25,000

Our client is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Assistant to join their finance team and contribute to their continued success.

Main Purpose of the Role: Our client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Assistant to play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely collection of invoices from their diverse customer base. As a valued member of the finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining positive customer relationships, processing payments, and resolving inquiries with professionalism and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customer payments accurately and promptly, including posting remittances and reconciliations
  • Engage with customers via phone, email, and portals to facilitate payments and address queries in a timely manner
  • Assist in the distribution of invoices and credit notes to customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Collaborate with the Credit Control Supervisor to address any issues that may impact payment timelines
  • Participate in weekly debtor reporting reviews and assist with ad hoc tasks and reporting as needed
  • Foster positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to support smooth payment collection processes

Requirements:

  • Basic proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proactive attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the finance team and the broader organisation

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Occasional travel to other offices may be required for training or meetings
  • Flexibility to undertake additional duties as assigned by management
