A fast-growing business in Ashbourne, known for its strong presence in the automotive industry, are looking for a talented Management Accountant to join their team, reporting directly to the Managing Director. This role is a great fit for someone who thrives on financial analysis, budgeting, and process improvement, and is keen to influence key business decisions.

What will you be doing?

• Preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Generating insightful financial reports for senior management, highlighting trends and variances.
• Assisting with budgeting and forecasting, monitoring variances, and supporting strategic financial planning.
• Conducting detailed cost and profitability analysis, implementing cost control measures.
• Leading financial modelling and scenario analysis for new projects.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and preparing for audits.
• Driving process improvements across financial reporting and operational efficiency.
• Collaborating with various teams, providing training to non-financial managers on key financial metrics.

Who are we looking for?

• A part qualified/ qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA preferred) with proven experience in management accounting. QBE will also be considered!
• Proficient in financial software like Sage or QuickBooks, with advanced Excel skills.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a proactive problem solver.
• Experience in the automotive or transport industry is a bonus (but not essential), along with familiarity with ERP systems.
• A team player with excellent communication skills who can also work independently.
