Role: Part-Time Credit Controller
Location: Milton Keynes (Office-Based)
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 FTE (pro rata)
Hours: Flexible - 3 full days per week, or hours can be spread across 5 shorter days
Contract: Permanent
Macildowie are working with this client based in Milton Keynes who are looking to recruit a Part-Time Credit Controller on a permanent basis.

The Role
As part of a supportive finance team - consisting of the Head of Finance, Finance Business Partner, two Accounts Assistants, and a retiring Credit Controller - you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of the company's invoicing and credit control function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising and processing invoices
- Uploading and matching invoices to purchase orders
- Liaising with internal departments and quantity surveyors to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
- Managing retention payments (6-12 months) and actively chasing these from clients
- Handling a few hundred invoices per month, with individual values of up to £50,000
- Maintaining accurate financial records and demonstrating exceptional attention to detail
About You
We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller who thrives in a collaborative, team-focused environment. You will bring:
- Previous experience in invoice management, PO matching, and retention payments
- Strong organisational skills with accuracy under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across internal departments and with project quantity surveyors

- Flexibility to be fully office-based in Milton Keynes
