Macildowie are working with this client based in Bleak Hall, Milton Keynes to appoint an Accounts Assistant to join their growing finance team within a successful and well-established manufacturing business.
Job title: Accounts Assistant - with Study support available
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum
Type: Permanent, full-time
Working arrangement: Office-based (5 days per week, with flexibility around core hours which are 9am to 16:00pm)

About the Role
You'll be joining a small, collaborative finance team that supports three companies within a wider group. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a varied and hands-on role where you'll gain exposure across multiple aspects of the finance function.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Costing and billing of materials across the group
- Preparing and inputting financial data accurately and on time
- Assisting with payroll for three group entities
- Liaising daily with stores, production and engineering teams to resolve queries
- Supporting two part-time Accounts Clerks:
- Accounts Payable Clerk - assisting with supplier reconciliations, invoice processing and payment runs
- Accounts Receivable Clerk - assisting with invoicing, credit control support and cash allocations
- Contributing to the implementation of the Epicor ERP system
- Providing cover and general accounting support across the team where required

About You
You may be a recent graduate or someone early in your finance career looking for an environment that offers progression, exposure, and study support.

- Comfortable collaborating with production, engineering, and stores teams
- Highly organised with great attention to detail
- A proactive team player who's eager to learn and grow
- Ideally familiar with manufacturing or engineering environments (desirable but not essential)
