Location: Leicester
Salary: £70,000-£80,000 Plus Bonus & Excellent Benefits
About the Business
Our client is an operationally driven organisation at the heart of Leicester. With a strong emphasis on efficiency, productivity, and continuous improvement, they are looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join their team. This is a high-visibility role supporting operational leaders to drive performance and shape strategic decision-making.
The Role
As the Finance Business Partner, you will act as the key link between Finance and Operations. You'll work closely with site leadership, supply chain, production, and operational teams to provide insightful analysis, challenge assumptions, and influence key decisions. Your goal is to ensure financial rigour, enhance efficiency, and support long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with operational leadership to understand performance drivers and identify areas for improvement.
Produce and communicate meaningful financial insights, KPIs, and operational dashboards.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control processes across operational functions.
Conduct deep-dive analysis on operational performance, labour, throughput, efficiency, and waste.
Support investment appraisals, business cases, and scenario modelling for operational projects.
Challenge and influence operational decision-makers to improve profitability and drive accountability.
Improve financial processes, controls, and reporting to support operational excellence.
Act as the finance lead on continuous improvement initiatives.
About You:
Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience.
Strong operational finance background in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, FMCG, or similar.
Commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both finance and non-finance teams.
Proactive, curious, and solutions-focused.
