Macildowie are working with a dynamic, multi-entity business based in Syston, Leicestershire, to recruit Finance Assistants into newly created roles within divisional finance teams.
Finance Assistant
Up to £30,000 per annum | Permanent | Hybrid Working | Study Support Available
Following a restructure and continued growth, this organisation is expanding its divisional finance capability and creating opportunities for Finance Assistants to take ownership of end-to-end transactional finance processes across Accounts Payable, Billing, and Bank Reconciliations. These are hands-on, fast-paced roles that require agility, ownership, and strong teamwork.
You'll be based in a collaborative finance environment, where the ability to adapt, communicate effectively and stay detail-focused is essential. There's genuine progression potential, and study support is available for those working towards AAT or equivalent qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
Process high-volume supplier invoices, ensuring accurate coding and timely approvals
Raise and send invoices to customers with appropriate supporting documentation
Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
Liaise with internal teams to resolve invoice queries or customer billing issues
Support month-end processes and reporting
Maintain accurate financial records and support internal audits where required
About You
Experience in a finance, accounts payable or billing role
Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-led approach
Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks at pace
Confident working across teams and responding to changing business needs
Studying towards AAT or equivalent (or willing to start) - support provided
Good Excel skills and financial systems experience preferred
