Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: South Leicestershire

About the Role
We are seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant to join the finance team of our client based in South Leicestershire. This role is ideal for a finalist or qualified accountant who is looking to take ownership of financial reporting, provide insightful analysis, and support business decision-making. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in delivering accurate and timely management information.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including commentary and variance analysis
• Production of budgets, forecasts, and financial models
• Business partnering with operational and non-finance stakeholders
• Review and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Preparation of accruals, prepayments, and journals
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic and commercial decisions
• Identify and drive process improvements within the finance function

About You

• Finalist or fully qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
• Strong experience in management accounting and month-end processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to interpret financial data
• Confident communicator, able to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
• Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Experience in business partnering or commercial finance roles
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
• Experience in continuous improvement or system implementation projects
