Interim Financial Accountant (8-Month Contract)
We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to join a complex group finance function for an 8-month role. The role will initially support the Technical Accounting team before transitioning to assist the Group Reporting team
The Role
Financial Accounting
- Review complex and unusual transactions, including IFRS 15 contract reviews.
- Maintain and update group accounting policies and procedures.
- Provide technical accounting advice to divisional and central finance teams.
- Lead impairment reviews
- Contribute to Audit Committee papers and support developments in IFRS and UK GAAP.
Group Reporting
- Prepare year-end financial statement notes.
- Prepare and audit JV and subsidiary accounts.
- Liaise with local finance teams and external auditors.
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong IFRS expertise
- Experience with audit and financial governance.
- Exposure to listed group reporting desirable.
- Confident stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative approach.
- Available at short notice & able to work in office 3 days a week
- Loves working in a team environment
