We are seeking a Senior Operational Finance Analyst to support a large-scale ERP transformation within a complex, multi-site environment. This interim role focuses on finance testing and financial integrity validation ahead of system go-live.
The Role
You will challenge finance-led testing across end-to-end financial operational processes, ensuring the ERP accurately reflects real-world transactional activity.

Scope includes validation of financial flows across:

  • Sales & revenue (including online)
  • Stock & inventory
  • Cost of goods sold
  • Accounts Payable & supplier payments
  • Accounts Receivable & refunds
  • End-to-end P&L and balance sheet impact
  • This role requires strong accounting judgement and operational finance expertise not just systems exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and challenge finance testing scripts
  • Validate journal postings and ledger flows (debits/credits)
  • Identify and escalate financial control risks
  • Stress-test real operational scenarios
  • Assess P&L and balance sheet impact
  • Partner with the team and project stakeholders
  • Retest fixes and validate outputs - You must be confident challenging assumptions where financial risk is identified.

Essential Experience

  • Proven ERP transformation experience (Oracle highly desirable)
  • Direct involvement in finance testing/system validation
  • Strong operational finance background
  • Large, multi-site, high-volume environment experience
  • Deep understanding of P&L mechanics and reconciliations
  • Advanced Excel (Power Pivot essential)
  • Strong data analysis capability
  • Available immediately/at short notice

Highly Desirable
Audit background
High-volume transactional industry exposure

The Candidate

  • Qualified accountant (QBE considered)
  • Proactive, accountable and delivery-focused
  • Comfortable in high-pressure environments
  • Confident challenging senior stakeholders
  • Able to work 5 days on-site

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused interim role requiring resilience, accountability and commercial awareness.
