Accounts Assistant

Full Time | 37.5 hours | 9:00am - 5:30pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and growing property business. This role offers excellent exposure across both finance and property, working closely with an experienced team and offering genuine progression opportunities, including potential study support.

The Role

Working alongside the Finance Assistant and supporting the wider property team, you will play a key role in the smooth running of the finance function. Duties will include:

  • Processing daily banking transactions and performing accurate bank reconciliations

  • Raising tenant invoices and allocating incoming payments

  • Entering Accounts Payable invoices onto the accounting system

  • Processing supplier payments via BACS (payment runs twice weekly)

  • Raising monthly and quarterly charges

  • Service charge reconciliations

  • Preparing client statements and remitting funds

  • Assisting with VAT reporting

  • Maintaining deposits and applying interest

  • Responding to queries via email and telephone

  • Liaising with clients, tenants and suppliers

  • Managing shared mailbox queries and maintaining accurate records

You will be supporting both the finance and property sides of the business, working to deadlines and ensuring accuracy at all times.

About You

  • Previous experience within finance or property administration

  • Ideally exposure to the property sector

  • Strong reconciliation experience

  • Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with clients

  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail

  • Proficient in Excel and accounting software

  • Able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
