Macildowie are partnering exclusively with a growing accountancy practice based in Ibstock to recruit an Assistant Finance professional to join their expanding outsourced finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership of finance processes, working closely with clients, and developing their accounting knowledge within a supportive team environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day transactional finance function for a key client account, ensuring financial processes run smoothly while building strong relationships with both internal teams and the client.

This role offers a great mix of hands-on finance work and client interaction, ideal for someone who enjoys a proactive and varied role.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Credit control and debtor management

• Raising and managing project-based invoices

• Processing supplier and subcontractor payments

• Performing financial and system reconciliations

• Liaising with project teams to gather financial data such as timesheets and cost information

• Acting as a key finance contact for the client

You will report into a Senior Accountant, with opportunities to gain exposure to broader accounting work over time.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Credit Control role

• Has a strong understanding of transactional finance processes
