HR Advisor 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Swadlincote (Fully Onsite)
Salary: Up to £33,000

I am looking for a proactive and hands-on HR Advisor to join a forward-thinking manufacturing business in Swadlincote on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting directly to the Head of HR, you'll be a vital part of the HR team supporting a workforce of around 300 employees. This a fantastic opportunity to look after a combination of BAU work aswell as supporting on HR projects!

What's the role?


You'll be at the heart of the people function, partnering with line managers to deliver impactful HR support across the business. Your day-to-day will be varied and rewarding, including:

  • Managing employee contracts and ensuring smooth onboarding and record-keeping
  • Providing practical HR advice and support to line managers across a broad range of employee relations issues
  • Leading absence management and performance management processes to keep the business running smoothly
  • Coordinating occupational health referrals to support employee wellbeing
  • Driving key HR projects that will make a real difference to the business

What does the right person look like?

An enthusiastic HR professional who thrives on variety and enjoys working closely with people. You'll bring:

  • Solid experience in a generalist HR role, preferably within manufacturing or a similar environment
  • Confidence in handling employee relations, absence and performance management cases
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with managers
  • A can-do attitude and ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease
