We are recruiting for a Recruitment & HR Officer (28 hours per week, full-time equivalent salary £27,000-£28,000)
Employment Type: Permanent
Working Arrangement: 28 hours per week (can be over 4 days or 5 days), Monday to Friday

Role Overview

You will join a vibrant team at an award-winning destination spa and become an integral part of a successful and people-focused organisation. You will lead on end-to-end recruitment, act as an employer brand ambassador, and support the full employee lifecycle across a business with over 550 staff across 25 departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage internal recruitment processes working closely with Heads of Department to fill vacancies.
  • Optimise recruitment material across website and social media platforms to attract talent locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Draft job descriptions, create inspiring and innovative job adverts and manage applications via the applicant tracking system.
  • Select advertising channels and manage agency relationships.
  • Build and maintain a candidate database; send regular vacancy alerts.
  • Attend job fairs, exhibitions and recruitment events.
  • Prepare and issue new-starter documentation (offer letters, contracts).
  • Respond to candidate and employee queries.
  • Provide HR support to Heads of Department in relation to low-level performance, conduct and wellbeing issues.
  • Provide accurate and timely administrative support for transactional HR processes.
  • Produce HR reports using the HRIS; troubleshoot basic system issues and respond to HRIS queries.
  • Contribute to the development of HR projects, policies and processes.

Person Specification

  • Proven recruitment experience, ideally within hospitality (but not essential).
  • Tenacious, creative and organised with strong prioritisation skills.
  • Sharp eye for detail and inquisitive mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong IT skills, including experience of an HRIS and confident navigating social media.
  • A CIPD qualification would be advantageous, but the role offers scope for development into employee relations in a supportive environment.

Hours of Work & Salary

28 hours per week (full-time equivalent salary £27,000-£28,000)
Working pattern: Either 4-day (e.g., Monday - Thursday) or 5-day (shorter daily hours) between Monday and Friday
