HR Administrator
Location: Northampton
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 (FTE) | Permanent | Site-Based

Macildowie are working with this client based in Northampton to recruit a permanent HR Administrator to join a close-knit and hands-on HR function in a manufacturing environment. This opportunity has arisen due to internal progression and will see you working alongside the newly promoted HR Manager.

This is a people-facing, operational HR role with a real focus on employee engagement and delivering core HR processes. You will be a vital part of a two-person HR team, supporting around 100 employees and 20 temporary staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for all employee and temp queries
  • Manage end-to-end HR administration including onboarding, offboarding, time & attendance, absence, and holiday tracking
  • Own the new starter onboarding experience including agency liaison and 13-week reviews
  • Support ER meetings by attending and minuting
  • Work closely with production leaders to provide day-to-day HR coordination
  • Provide general administrative support and holiday cover for the HR Manager

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience in an HR administration role is preferred
  • CIPD Level 3 (or currently studying) is desirable but not essential
  • Approachable and confident communicating across all levels
  • Resilient and adaptable comfortable working fully on-site in a manufacturing/blue-collar setting
  • A team player who is organised and proactive
  • SAP experience is a bonus

Working Hours:

9-3 or 10-4 with flexibility considered (ideally over 5 days). Occasional need to stay later to support late shift communication.
