HR Advisor
Job Description
Macildowie are working with this client based in Loughborough to recruit a skilled Employee Relations Advisor for a key interim opportunity in the Public Sector. This full-time position will be based onsite across campuses, offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and values-led organisation.
Salary: £16.50 - £18 per hour dependent on experience
Type: Interim (36 months)
Working arrangement: Full-time preferred (part-time considered), office-based across sites. Car driver is essential
Role Overview:
- You'll be supporting the HR Manager, Business Partner, and wider HR team in promoting excellent working relationships and inclusive practices across the college. With a strong focus on employee relations, your contribution will ensure HR policies are applied effectively and in accordance with best practice and legislation.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day HR advice aligned to current employment law
- Support and lead on investigations, disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Take verbatim notes and provide HR representation in meetings and hearings
- Advise managers on performance and talent management
- Support with redundancy and TUPE-related processes
- Deliver initiatives supporting wellbeing, diversity and inclusion
- Coordinate staff development days and deliver in-house training
Experience & Qualifications:
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent
- Solid HR advisory experience with up-to-date employment law knowledge
- Skilled in managing ER cases with professionalism and discretion
- Strong IT and interpersonal communication skills
- Public sector or education sector experience desirable
- Must be able to travel across campus locations own transport required
