HR Assistant -UK & Group Functions
Location: Solihull
Salary: £30,000PA - £32,000PA (paid per hour as initially a temporary contract)
Employment Type: 3-month temp (potential to go permanent)
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in the office)

Macildowie are working with this client based in Solihull to recruit an HR Assistant to support UK and Group HR functions during an exciting period of organisational change.

This is a pivotal role providing end-to-end HR administrative and coordination support, with a strong focus on payroll preparation, recruitment logistics, and HR data reporting. Supporting a multisite, largely operational workforce, you'll be integral in embedding structure and consistency into HR processes across the UK business.

You'll be confident working with Excel and HR systems, possess excellent organisational skills, and be proactive in your approach to problem-solving. Experience in payroll preparation and recruitment coordination will be key to your success.

This role is initially offered on a 3-month interim basis, with the strong potential to convert to a permanent position.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monthly payroll data preparation and coordination across UK sites
  • Supporting recruitment admin and onboarding processes
  • Managing HR data integrity and headcount reporting
  • Liaising with an external HR consultant to support process improvements
  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to the HRBP and wider team

What we are looking for:

  • Previous HR administration or coordination experience (payroll experience essential)
  • High attention to detail and excellent Excel skills
  • A discreet and professional communicator
  • Experience working across multiple sites or a dispersed workforce

Ideally studying towards CIPD Level 3 or with prior exposure to manufacturing/distribution environments
