Management Accountant (Part-Qualified or Qualified)
Derbyshire (5 days on-site)
£50,000 – £60,000 per annum
Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

The Role
A newly created opportunity has arisen for a Part-Qualified or Qualified Management Accountant to join the finance team. Reporting to the Finance Controller, this role will play a key part in supporting business growth through accurate financial reporting and commercial insight.
You will take ownership of key financial processes while partnering with stakeholders across the organisation to support informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for financial performance reporting, including oversight of both profit and loss and balance sheet positions for a specific business area
- Prepare and deliver monthly reporting packs in line with corporate deadlines, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Assist with audit activities and ensure adherence to internal controls and external compliance standards
- Analyse financial results, identifying trends and providing insight to support business strategy
- Supply relevant and timely financial data to stakeholders to aid operational and commercial decisions
- Produce tailored financial reports and insights for non-finance teams as required
- Supervise and support a Finance Assistant, allocating work and providing day-to-day guidance
Skills & Experience Required
- Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or fully qualified
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an industry-based finance role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders
- Experience with accounting systems such as NAV, Business Central, Oracle, or similar
- Strong organisational and time management skills
