Location: Ipswich - Office based
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm
Contract Type: 6 month Fixed Term Contract

About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a highly organised and detail-focused Procurement Administrator to join a leading company in the fluid power industry. This is a vital role within the Operations team, responsible for supporting procurement activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of goods, materials, and services. You'll liaise closely with suppliers and internal departments to maintain accurate records, manage purchase orders, and support day-to-day stock and purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise and manage purchase orders in line with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Communicate with suppliers to track orders, resolve delivery or invoice issues, and maintain strong relationships.
- Update procurement records and systems accurately to ensure reliable supply chain data.
- Monitor stock levels, support stock takes, and process stock returns or adjustments.
- Assist with cost tracking, supplier evaluations, and contract administration.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve any supply issues impacting operations.
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and ISO procedures.
- Support on-boarding of new suppliers and maintain up-to-date documentation.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support audit preparations.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain administration is essential.
- Strong Excel skills and general computer literacy.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a proactive and methodical approach.
- Confident communicator with good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and work independently.
- Knowledge of the Fluid Power industry or OEM environments is advantageous but not essential.
- Full UK driving licence required.
