Job Description

Procurement Analyst/Officer
Location: Midlands / Remote Working Available
Salary: Up to £42,000 per annum
Contract: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Are you analytically minded with a strong understanding of public sector procurement? Do you enjoy supporting organisational improvement through data, insight, and collaborative working? If so, this could be the ideal next step in your procurement career.

We're looking for a Procurement Analyst to support the delivery of procurement, contract and supplier relationship management standards across a forward-thinking housing association. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract and the role will report directly into the Procurement Manager, working closely to implement best practice, compliance, and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide analytical, commercial and process support across procurement and contract management activities.
  • Support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies to ensure value for money, service quality and compliance.
  • Assist in the delivery of a robust Contract Management Standard to improve the oversight and performance of key supplier relationships.
  • Support the mobilisation and ongoing monitoring of contracts, ensuring expectations and KPIs are clearly set and measured.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to raise awareness of procurement initiatives and gain buy-in across the business.
  • Help embed consistent contract management KPIs and support colleagues in tracking and improving performance.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation and contribute to ensuring compliance with the Procurement Act and other regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of procurement-related training and documentation for contract managers and wider colleagues.
  • Contribute to the implementation of a compliant procurement function aligned to the organisation's strategic objectives.
  • Deliver procurement project support as directed, including managing documentation, award notices, contract signing, and register maintenance.
  • Identify risks and areas for improvement and support the delivery of innovative, data-driven solutions to enhance procurement outcomes.

About You:

You'll have experience working in a procurement, contracts, or commercial analysis role within the public sector, ideally in housing, though candidates from the wider public sector are strongly encouraged to apply.

You'll be confident analysing procurement data, supporting internal stakeholders, and navigating public procurement frameworks. A proactive, collaborative approach, along with strong organisational and communication skills, will be essential.

Desirable Experience:

  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement practices and regulatory frameworks
  • Familiarity with the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR2015) and awareness of the Procurement Act 2023 (PCR23)
  • Experience supporting contract management, including KPI monitoring and supplier engagement
  • Previous experience within a housing association is beneficial, but not essential

What's on Offer:

  • Salary up to £42,000 per annum
  • Flexible remote working options
  • 12-month fixed-term contract initially with potential for longer-term opportunities depending on performance
  • Opportunity to support meaningful change in a purpose-led organisation
  • Supportive team culture with a commitment to professional development and innovation
