Location: Ipswich
Working Hours: Monday to Friday. Saturday overtime available.
Contract Type: Full time, Permanent
About the Role:
We are currently partnered with a leading, yet very fast growing fluid power business in Ipswich. They are currently recruiting for a hands-on and detail-focused Production Operative to join their production support team. This role is key in ensuring hose kits are prepared, quality-checked, and packaged to the highest standard in line with customer specifications. You'll also assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment, supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble Hose Kits including sleeving, wrapping, and colour coding of hoses.
- Pick and kit adaptors to meet customer requirements, following weight-check procedures.
- Conduct final quality checks in line with the company's yellow pen check process.
- Package and label kits accurately, meeting customer and quality standards.
- Maintain clean, organised, and hazard-free work areas.
- Log production errors, offcuts, and report job card amendments to improve efficiency.
- Report any near misses, accidents, or incidents as required.
- Support production lines as needed and contribute to overall team operations.
- Assist with internal/external audits and uphold all company Quality and Health & Safety policies.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in a production, assembly, or kitting environment (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Team player with a proactive, positive approach to work.
- Awareness of Health & Safety practices in a workshop or factory setting.
