THE OPPORTUNITY:
Macildowie are currently recruiting for Production Operatives working for a growing business based in Ipswich. Responsible for kitting up OEM Hose Kit orders produced by production. Also responsible for final quality checks on hose assemblies via the yellow pen check. Responsible for packaging product to high quality standards.
This is a permanent role, Monday - Friday with the option to work Saturday mornings as over time
THE ROLE & YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for kitting up OEM Hose Kit orders which have been produced by production. This will involve wrapping hoses with PVC guard, sleeving hoses with anti-burst sleeve and applying colour tape to hose assemblies
Responsible for picking adaptor kits to meet customer requirements and completing them in line with weight check process.
Responsible for packaging kits as per the customer requirements. This will include labelling boxes with customer part numbers. To be done to high quality standards.
To carry out respective quality checks as per the company's policy. The kitting team are responsible for final quality checks in line with Yellow pen check process.
To support both production lines if necessary.
To ensure that work areas are always kept clean, tidy and hazard free.
To actively contribute to the overall team activities and promote good working practices.
To log errors and offcuts on a weekly basis.
To report all job card amendments to team leader to improve efficiency.
To report near misses, accidents and incidents as required.
Adhere to company Quality, Health and Safety policies.
Responsible for helping the business to identify opportunities for improvement as part of our business management and quality strategy. Also to flag up any risks to our QMS from the operations you carry out.
Be involved with and support any audits within your department and comply with all internal/external audit resource and certification bodies.
EXPERIENCE SOUGHT IN THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
Previous Fluid Power Industry is preferred but not essential.
Experience of working in a production environment.
Educational qualifications that demonstrate proficiency in English Language and Maths
Able to act proactively and with limited direct supervision, while at the same time recognising when matters need to be referred to Team Leader or Head of Operations.
Able to work accurately with detailed information.
Possesses a high level of resilience and drive, able to be flexible and change direction as required and work well under pressure.
Demonstrates first class attention to details and team working skills.
Able to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks and achieve set targets.
